The Inventory Sale at Last Call expires 5/21/12 @ 3pm eastern time.  No codes required, 30% discount will show up in cart.

Inventory.  Retail establishments need it in order to exist.  But when a retailer ends up with too much inventory, they’ve got to put it on sale.  And we get to benefit.  At Last Call, the clearance house of Neiman Marcus, there are deals even if they’re not on sale.  But with a sale, some beautiful designer goods can be had for way below retail.  Or way below even an average sale.  We’ve laid out some picks of what Last Call has to offer currently.  Be warned, you will have to pay for shipping and returns from Last Call, which can quickly eat into a good discount.  If a free shipping code happens to pop up before the 21st we’ll make sure to post it here.  Let’s shop!

Yoana Baraschi Dot-Print Tie-Waist Dress – $139.30 ($199)

Front & Back

Still rather spendy, but this dress started out at $328 retail.  The extra 30% off of the already marked down Last Call price drops it below $150.  This dress is really striking, both in color and print.  I love the way the tie waist creates pleating, and that look is continued on the back neckline.  With a great primary color, and retro fashioning, this dress won’t go out of style.  Designed by Yoana Baraschi.  Dig that french jazz.

MICHAEL Michael Kors Printed Cap-Sleeve Blouson Dress – $59.50 ($85)

A softer looking animal print

A simple animal print in very soft hues.  Keep your shoes and accessories light with this one.  The top half of this dress has a blouson effect due to the elastic waist.  Pretty pleating keeps it feminine.

Taylor Printed Blouson Maxi Dress – $87.50 ($125)

A gathered waist breaks the dress up

Another dress with blouson detail.  The nice thing about blouson is the draping it creates up top.  If you have a bit of a pooch (not talking about fido) the draping creates a cleaner line down the profile of the dress.  I like the chunky necklace paired with the dress as shown on the model at left.

Sharagano Noir Belted Sheath Dress – $87.50 ($125)

Sweet & Simple

What a perfect sheath dress for an outdoor wedding or function.  The belt will accentuate your waist, and the a-line skirt adds a bit of flirtation.  A simple dress that takes it’s cues from the 50′s.  Such a Betty dress.  *Spoiler alert: Do not click on the Betty link if you’re just starting to watch early episodes of Mad Men!

BCBGMAXAZRIA Strapless Striped Top – $36.40 ($52)

A sweetheart of a top

A darling top for summer from BCBG.  The sweetheart neckline and buttons up top are really fun, and the back is smocked to ensure a tight fit.  The tie in the back will accentuate your waist, and a simple stripe pattern plays off the popular nautical theme.  Can probably be layered over a simple tank if strapless isn’t your thing.

Romeo & Juliet Couture Tie-Neck Printed Top – $34.30 ($49)

"Cold Shoulder" cut outs

I love the color and pattern on this top.  I might personally like it a bit better if the shoulders were in tact, but the cut outs are interesting.  Aside from the “cold shoulders”, the shirt has a very retro feel.  Something that can be worn well into fall with a cardigan.  And this one is made in the USA.

Equipment Signature Semisheer Blouse – $69.30 ($99)

Throw it on and go

The fun, almost giraffe like pattern makes this shirt stand out.  Easy fit, this shirt from Equipment is designed to be somewhat androgynous in cut.  A good shirt to throw over a white cami, either buttoned up or left open for a breezy feel.

Sharagano Chiffon Raw-Edge Blouse – $49 ($70)

Sheer chiffon

This blouse was first featured in our Going Outfits: Derby Style post a few weeks back.  Very feminine, and almost Parisian looking to me.  I’m not sure if the large rosette applique would look the best on bustier girls.  What do you think?  Fit is easy, so it’s going to fall straight rather than accentuating your waist.  You might be able to tuck it into a pencil skirt if you want to give it some shape.

Vivienne Vivienne Tam Exposed-Zip Pencil Skirt – $27.30 ($39)

Red will work year round

Maybe tuck it into this pencil skirt!  Love this bright color called “swing red”.  Material is a cotton/spandex blend, and is machine washable.  This skirt will work year round.

Charles David Laura Platform Sandal – $69.30 ($175)

Hails from Italy

Very limited sizes left of this sandal, but I thought they were so pretty and such a good deal I had to share.  If you’re a 9, 10, or 11 snatch these Italian made beauties up before they’re gone!

Seychelles EP Tubular-Strap Sandal in Black, Whiskey, Red, or Copper – $55.30 ($79)

She sells Seychelles by the... nevermind.

Cute strapy sandals from Seychelles.  The upper and lining are leather, and the heel is actually honest to god stacked wood.  This is a really good price for a brand that seems to receive lots of great reviews.  As linked above, available in four colors.

Fragments Cabochon Oval-Circle Drop Earrings – $24.50 ($35)

Burst of color

Go tribal and bright in one fail swoop with these earrings from Fragments.  Green and turquoise cabochons adorn these round drop earrings.  At 3 inches long they’re sure to stand out.  If you’re outfit is lacking in color just throw these on!

Lady Primrose Lingerie Travel Bag – $13.30 ($19)

Great idea!

Why do I not already have one of these?  What a great idea!  Instead of shoving your dirty unmentionables into a plastic grocery sack or some random pocket or compartment of your luggage, use one of these cute lingerie bags for travel.  Nice price on this too.
